Tennis Facilities
Prettily located amongst nature at the centre of the resort, with five excellently-maintained red clay courts and two of synthetic grass with quartz sand (all with floodlights).
Office for court reservation and information. There is no charge for use of the courts during the lunchtime period.
Location
The resort is beautifully located in the heart of the natural park of the Gargano peninsula, surrounded by mountains. It lies directly beside two lovely large beaches (sand/shingle).
The Gargano peninsula is located in the province of Apulia on the Adriatic coast of southern Italy. The picturesque town of Vieste is 20km away, while Apulia’s capital city Bari lies 140km away.
Transfer time to Bari Airport is 2 hours, to the regional airport in Foggia 1 hour and to Naples 2.5 hours.
Resort Facilities
The approx 150 hectare-sized resort offers four different types of accommodation:
Hotel del Faro****:
A lovely and modern 4-star hotel with gorgeous panoramic views of the bay, this is in a quiet location with 175 excellently-equipped rooms, also suites and superior rooms.
Has its own pool, while the beach is 300m away. Bookable with breakfast, half board or full board.
Hotel degli Ulivi***:
Located in the centre of the resort, directly on the beach and with an Olympic-sized pool. 180 well-furnished rooms, also family rooms. Bookable with half- or full-board.
Villette delle Macine:
35 detached and well spaced-out villas in typical Mediterranean style, located above the Hotel degli Ulivi. The villas have two sizes; all are well furnished and located in a lovely pine wood, about 300-500m from the beach.
Residence del Belvedere:
37 modern single-storey apartments located behind the Villette delle Macine in a quiet and pretty area. Three different apartment sizes, ranging from 2-6 beds and 35-85sqm. About 500m away from the beach.
All guests of the Pugnochiuso Resort have a pizzeria, minimarket, bazaar with shops and typical local products, second-hand bookshop, photo shop and doctor’s practice at their disposal.
Sports and Entertainment
Large varied sport and entertainment programme, to which all guests are heartily welcome: mini football pitch (Astroturf), Olympic pool, water sports (windsurfing, sailing, canoeing), archery, beach volleyball, fitness centre, water polo, beauty centre, massage studio. Group courses are usually free of charge, one-to-one classes have an additional charge.
The entertainment team organises various shows, theme shows and dance evenings and competitions. Casino. Discotheque. WLAN Internet.
Childminding for babies (0-3 years-old), children (Mini Club for 4-12 year-olds from 9.30am to 6.30pm) and teenagers (Junior Club 12-17 year-olds) with lots of action and fun.
